The truth about Tom Bombadil

It’s been awhile since I’ve read LotR, but every time I have, whenever I come to the part with Tom Bombadil, I just grind my teeth about how worthless he is. His stupid songs and his stupid skipping through the forest were a chore.

I just never considered him in this light. It’s much more sinister.
