The excerpts for Book 3-A Warrior’s Penance-are up! Right now, it’s just The Trials So Far (A reminder of all that’s happened so far) and the prologue. However, over the next few months, I’ll release a new chapter a week. That should put us pretty close to the release date for the book.
Just look for “Excerpts” in the top set of tabs and follow the drop down menu.
I’ll be releasing about a chapter a week from book 3 over the next month or so. The first chapter should be out by Wednesday.
Here’s a look at the cover art for book 3.
Waiting on the beta reads, and while I’m doing so, I decided to try my hand at a short story. Something featuring the legendary warrior, Hume. We’ll see how it goes. And hopefully, sometime in the next few weeks, I’ll have a much longer post about what else is going on. For others it might seem like a small step forward, but for me, it has the potential to be pretty awesome.
I just finished what I hope is the penultimate revision of book 3. The title is still A Warrior’s Penance, unless I think of something better. Titles aren’t my strong suit. Anyway, the book is about the same length as the second book-roughly 180,000 words. Right now, it’s in the hands of the beta readers. After their input, I’ll revise one last time, then it’s off to the proofreader. I’ve already started the process on commissioning cover art, so if all goes well (please let it go well), the book should be out the door by mid-April. There will also be a boxed set with all three books.
The title is all I wanted to say. Now back to work.
I know writing a book is all about the journey, but it sure is sweet when I get to write these two words.
Whew! I’m a little numb right now. I still can’t believe I’m done with this story that’s occupied my mind for so many years. I also can’t believe it ended up being roughly 1550 words of a single story stretched out over three books. As for editing, I’ll get to that next year.
I’m very happy to announce that the audiobook for A Warrior’s Knowledge, book 2 of The Castes of the OutCastes, is now available through Audible.com and Amazon.com. And once more, Nick Podehl did an outstanding job on the narration.
