It’s release day for A Testament of Steel!

by Jul 20, 2020Wonderings6 comments

Today is the anniversary of the first moon landing and also the release day for A Testament of Steel!!!

Run on over to Amazon and pick it up today. It’s also free for those who have a subscription to Kindle Unlimited!

And for those who listen to their books, Nick Podehl (yes, that Nick Podehl) is scheduled to do the narration in the first week of August. Hopefully, it means the audiobook will be available 3-6 weeks after he’s done with the narration.

A young man with no past must progress into a warrior out of legend.

Cinder Shade’s life begins on a fateful afternoon at the bottom of a well where he awakens, bruised, battered, and bereft of all memory. His only understanding is a driving imperative—to protect those who can’t defend themselves and become a warrior worthy of the name.
He discovers within himself a peculiar gift, one in which the codes of combat are made evident and the language of steel is made clear. When he earns a place at a prestigious elven warrior academy, Cinder fights to enhance his knowledge and perhaps even humble the proud elves who believe no human is their equal.
His hard-earned skills are put to the test when strange rumblings emanate from deep in the Dagger Mountains. Monsters out of myth emerge. And so does something far worse . . .
An ancient god. The world believes this deity long dead, but he is very much alive. And he remembers his enemies all too well. Even if they don’t remember themselves.

It’s been a long time since I have picked up, now a days open in Kindle, a book and not set it down until it was finished. I’m a character base reader. I need those characters that pull you into the story with them. Tolkien has done it. Robert Jordan has done it. RA Salvatore has done it. And now you have done it. There are many more. What I hate the most is finding these gems and then to find out too late that there are more adventures to come. The next book never comes fast enough. I too can’t wait for the next ride and look forward to many sleepless nights. I’m happy to have found a that new author that brings the joy of reading to life. Now to tell my son which soon will be a the next convert. Also January 1st is a day in the 1st quarter of 2021. Just saying…….

Thanks, David. And a large part of me is grinning that the book kept you up late. As a reader, I love when that happens, and I love those books.
